Summer is such a sweet time to refresh and relax. The warm air, the flowers, and the late sunsets make it so magical! It also can sometimes lead to a tidbit of boredom, so I've been paying more attention to my music choices than I might normally. And because I'm sure the same is true for some of you, I'd love to share a few of my new favorites (and the albums I've made of my favorite tunes)! They were basically on repeat throughout my European excursion, which I will be posting about more thoroughly later. But in the meantime, these pictures were all taken in the lovely Estonia! And now, back to summer jammers.
First off on Ashlea's summer soundtrack - the La La Land score. I'm obsessed! I'm convinced the movie is a work of art that belongs in it's own category of amazing, and the soundtrack is only a piece of that. Granted, the soundtrack is also the best piece of it, so. My very favorite piece is the song titled Epilogue, which you should all listen to (after you've seen the movie, of course).
Another amazing summer jam? Starlight by Amanda Cook. It's sweet and beautiful, and reminds me of the hope only Christ provides. Lyrics are always easy to glaze over and I don't always appreciate their meaning, but I would encourage you to pay close attention to them in this song. There's a line that says, "every glimmer is a spark," and it gets me every time.
And the last gorgeous piece of summer music... 139 / Dead of Night by Leeland. This song starts out pretty soft, but turns into a true jammer. Also, it's gorgeous.
I hope you enjoy all of these summer songs! Comment your favorite below so I know what else to listen to : )
