This past weekend I went to the beach with some friends, and it was such a blast! I've always been more of a lake kinda girl, but I forgot just how fun the beach can be. I really loved being able to go boating and just casually see some dolphins! You don't really see that on the lake. I'm also reveling in the fact that we're heading in to dress season; I was really beginning to miss my favorite frocks!
This gray, Old Navy dress was one of those iconic Goodwill finds. It's a size large, but it ended up fitting me perfectly! I love how it swings and flows when I move, but is long enough that I'm not constantly worried about keeping everything covered. I appreciate it even more now after being on the North Carolina coast, where the wind seems to be always whippin'.
I'll forever rejoice that we live in a world where things as beautiful as the ocean and the sky exist, not to mention human beings. How amazing and beautiful are the things that surround us? Flowers, trees, even artfully crafted buildings and brick roads - it's so fun to experience. Traveling, even if it isn't a long trip, always reminds me of the beauty on Earth, which is one of the many reasons I love doing it.
Although I'm always struck by how gorgeous the Earth is, I'm even more amazed by the beauty of my friends' souls. They overflow with joy and love and peace and kindness so great, that it is evident it is form the Lord God himself. So, I'm even more thankful for precious friends that I can travel to beautiful places with. They make every journey all the more enjoyable.
