The weather has gotten a lot warmer here in Chapel Hill, and I am so excited! Dresses and blooming flowers are my ideal combination. It is officially spring in my book; who cares what the calendar says. I just love this season of rebirth and regrowth, the season where we begin to see our sowing turn into reaping. It reflects the character of the God we love by demonstrating how he manifests biblical truths in our lives. If he so faithfully changes the seasons, even if the timeline is uneven and ever-changing, we have no reason to doubt he will change the seasons of our lives from dry and barren to warm and fruitful.
We so often believe that the Earth is on a track that God set, but since then he has relaxed into a recliner to watch our lives unfold like a soap opera. Nothing could be further from the truth! He is an active, loving presence in our lives. Let this year's change from winter to spring be an encouragement and reminder to you that our God is not a mindless, far-away entity. He is a greater, more beautiful being than we could possibly ever imagine.
And, even better news, he is just as active in your life as he is in the change of weather day to day, which not even meteorologists can truly predict. What beautiful news!
